The SPRINT Fund

Help those who have helped you

The SPRINT Fund is a charity, established in 1990, to support the training of nurses, physiotherapists, operating department practitioners and trainee surgeons working in the Departments of Orthopaedics and Accident Surgery in the Brighton and Hove and the Mid-Sussex hospitals.
This means raising money and making it available to all those whose work is concerned with the treatment of arthritis and other diseases and injuries affecting bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments in both adults and children.
The money we raise is used for specialist training and research, which is not funded by the NHS. Without this money there would be a real gap in Orthopaedic education and training in this region.
Ultimately the beneficiaries of our work are local people who have developed disease or have been injured in an accident. We want to ensure that the best treatment is always available and this requires the provision of suitable training and high quality facilities for learning.
The SPRINT Fund provides teaching materials, artificial bones and instruments for practicing surgical techniques. We will support research through the provision of equipment and the payment of course fees.
